I headed over to Oh' Boy 4th Grade with Farley to link up and Oh' Boy was I ever inspired! She has lost 50 pounds with good old fashioned hard work. Lots of healthy eating, exercise and only water to drink! WHAT! No diet coke?!? I know I need to take the leap. Maybe next week. I have to start on a Sunday:)
In the meantime, head on over to The Hands on Teacher and check our Marie's giveaway. Marie is generously giving away a $25.00 Starbucks gift card. I love me a yummy Vanilla Chai Tea from Starbucks! I will have to ask Farley if that's on the plan:) Its COLD her in Florida in case you are wondering. Sweaters and flip flops for me! Stay warm.
So now I am off to grade reading tests and math tests. How many of you give numerical grades in first? Just wondering:)
Hi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through the link-up and am your newest follower! I can definitely relate to your "day late and a dollar short" comment---I feel like that this year, too! I need to catch up on about a million things and get with it, especially with Christmas right around the corner.
I hope you'll stop by my blog if you get a chance. I have a giveaway going on now for a Target giftcard.

I found your blog through Farley's currently linky and I'm a new follower! I'm also glad that the elections are over and I can watch normal TV. People really do get nasty every election year. Farley's weight loss story is Amazing!! It makes me just want to get up and talk a run (more like a walk) to try to shed a few pounds.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can check out my November currently. :)

My husband wondered if he should put the Halloween decorations away which was really a big hint for me to put them away, but I said no they double as Thanksgiving decorations...Now I'm stuck! I usually put stars or smiles on papers. Sometimes I give write "fix"! Today they corrected/fixed their own spelling tests! Walking around I could easily asses which one were having trouble, but that way they were able to immediately see which words were wrong and it was more of a learning activity. They all got stars!

Love it Jenny! I do have fall things I usually leave out, but lots scream Halloween!
DeleteI love having the kids check their own papers. They take true ownership of their work.
Tammy
Oh gosh Tammy, we have to give numerical grades in first and it is report card time and I find it so hard to do cause a lot of beginning grade 1 is observing and coming up with a number for that - not easy. Great blog BTW - love it!
